Congratulations, Kristen!

Well now, I know someone ELSE who can be found there, too! ;)

It just makes me glad when the Lord makes connections between believers. Fellowship is based on following the Lord and obeying Him, not on proximity:

1 John 1:7but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Praise the Lord!

I stopped going to movies and watching TV around 1985. I think we should always ask ourselves, "Would I watch this movie or TV s show, read this book, go to this place with Jesus by my side?" Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only "weirdo" out here. Purity and Holiness should be our aim.

Hey Kristen, you keep up this good writing and pretty soon you will have enough to have a book published.

Thanks for the plug, Kristen.

I'm also glad that I'm not the only "weirdo" out here, Anonymous. I have learned over time that going to movies and watching TV are almost always a waste of time and/or money. It's hard to go the opposite direction from most people in my church, but I tend to regret the times that I go with them to attempt to have some quality biblical fellowship only to end up doing things that I could easily do with lost people.

JP, it's not hard to imagine the book idea becoming reality someday, although I prefer the interactivity and instant publishing of writing on a blog.

Hee hee. My dad would be happy--he wants me to write a book. That will only happen if the Lord puts it together.

Anon and Evan--that's pretty much how we felt about it: most stuff is a waste of time. There ARE things here and there that are okay, but most don't stand up to honest scrutiny.

I love our daily ruminations here! :)
